A king has to travel through space and time to save his kingdom. In the meantime, he finds time to fall in love with a feisty policewoman from an alternate reality.
This is definitely going to be an unpopular opinion but The King: Eternal Monarch was my favourite Kim Eun Sook show. Do not come at me with the usual fan favourites of Descendants of the Sun and Goblin. I stopped watching DOTS halfway and I am still trying to finish Goblin.
I think a lot of people didn’t like this show because it involved a lot of parallel universes and space-time travel courtesy of a magic flute, which made things rather confusing. Despite this, I found the show pretty intriguing.
Also, Woo Do Young’s duality is superior.
