A metalsmith married to a policewoman (why are so many male leads in Korean dramas partnered with policewomen) is a loving husband and a perfect father to his young daughter. However, all is not what it seems as Mr Metalsmith soon gets embroiled in controversy. Mrs Policewoman is left struggling to uncover his true identity and deciding how much she will fight to protect the man she loves.
A chilling masterpiece. I really got a great thrill watching this rollercoaster ride of a drama. It kept me on the edge of my seat and every episode felt like a 3 hour epic even though they were only about 1 hour each. My heart was in my mouth for most of the show and the elaborately-laid traps that the villain came up with made my skin crawl.
Despite the show being rather dark, Mr Metalsmith’s relationship with his daughter really shines through like a ray of sunshine. His great love for her and how much she adores him was a joy to watch and the little girl really aced every scene she was in.
MINOR SPOILER ALERT
I had mixed feelings about the last episode though. I guess with all the excitement of the series, it didn’t really end on as much of a high as I expected it to.
